Course evaluation

During the course of the academic year you will be asked to participate in a number of exercises aimed at course evaluation. These evaluation procedures will involve the completion of questionnaires, small group discussions, workshops etc. The SSCC will also be involved in various aspects of course evaluation. These evaluation procedures have been implemented to maintain and, where possible, improve the quality of the courses taught in the School of Pharmacy.

All constructive criticisms/comments relating to any aspect of the course will be most welcome and given serious consideration.

Feedback on Academic Progress

The provision of feedback to students regarding academic performance is an important feature of the BSc programme as this allows the academic ability of students to be maximised. In addition feedback is an important component of the development of first year students, enabling them to make a successful transition from secondary to tertiary education. There are several formats of academic feedback including, written feedback associated with submitted assignments and laboratory practical books and verbal feedback during laboratory classes, tutorials and workshops. Personal tutors will also give verbal feedback concerning academic performance to tutees. The School of Pharmacy aims to provide timely feedback to all students at key times within each module.
